           The amputee. Only glimpsed for a moment in the crowd, but his face became the source of inspiration for a number of paintings and sculpture.

Plaster

 Carved head approx. 5 cm; one of my favourite methods of modelling. Plaster is so immediate it can be formed and rebuilt very quickly. Carved from memory in the studio.  Plaster

              All earthly possessions stacked into a corner. After my second drawing I noticed one of the items moving. The pillar I was drawing behind had obscured my view of the man sleeping next to his luggage. Graphite on paper
